Forsyth Fabrics was founded in 1949 by Atlanta Law School graduate Dave Kaplan and his wife
Lillian, who started the business by selling fabrics from the back of a used WWII Army ambulance.
Originally open only to the trade, in 1981 the store was opened to the public. Today Forsyth Fabrics offers thousands of
decorative fabrics, as well as an extensive trim and tassel inventory - and
has been voted "Best Fabric Store" year after year by the readers of
Atlanta Magazine.
